Hazardous Chemical Health Monitoring
Legislation from Safework Australia and Queensland health and safety require employees working with certain hazardous chemicals to be part of a Health Monitoring Program. Chemicals such as asbestos, lead, isocyanate and arsenic are the most common chemicals under the scheme. The frequency of monitoring will depend on the chemical and nature of the work. This medical may include some or all of the following:

- Medical examination
- Physical assessment
- Spirometry (lung function) testing
- Blood tests
- Urine testing
- Other laboratory testing
- Chest x ray
